Choctaw House respects the diverse needs of each one of our clients. As individuals, we understand that not everyone likes to wake at a set time, eat at a predetermined location or change out of their slippers by 9:00 a.m. As we see it, these individuals have earned the right to sleep in, read the paper in their pajamas and go to bed when they feel like it. We take advantage of our size, our staffing ratios, and our relaxed nature, to ensure that everyone’s personal needs are met.
The services we provide are all included in the monthly fee and are; Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Laundry, Specially Tailored Activities, Request and Desire-Driven Meals, Memory Impairment Care, Incontinence Care (under garments not included), Medication Management, Transportation to MD appointments, Housekeeping, Hydration Programs, Assistance with Ambulation and whatever may be desired within our licensing parameters. Upon research, you will find that we deliver what we promise, a refreshing departure from the status quo.
It is truly my pleasure to recommend the Choctaw House to anyone in need of the highest quality of assisted care living. After months of struggling with what can be the gradual and subtle progression of aging, I began to research the availability of assisted care homes in the North Bay area. Both my mother and myself had the good fortune to select the Choctaw House to serve her needs. After a trying but thankfully short transitional period, she now genuinely calls the house “home”. Juliet Hahklotubbe is a most competent owner/manager who has selected and trained a loyal, caring and competent staff. On any given day Judy, Rose, Lisa, Sophia or Morgan receives the “Sira Stamp of Sainthood”. The atmosphere is conducive to “innovations in aging”. As my wife described: “It’s like going to someone’s warm and cheerful family home only the kids are elders”. We’re all grateful for “The Home”.
